No Data Collection

We don't collect any personal information from you or your child. No names, no emails, no nothing.

No Tracking or Analytics

We don't use analytics tools, tracking pixels, or any third-party SDKs that monitor app usage.

No Advertisements

Rev & Read is completely ad-free. No banner ads, no video ads, no sponsored content.

On-Device Processing

Speech recognition runs entirely on your device using Apple's built-in technology. No voice data leaves your device.

COPPA Compliance

Rev & Read is designed for children under 13 years old and fully complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Information We Collect

None. Zero. Nothing.

Rev & Read does not collect any personal information, usage data, device identifiers, or any other form of data that could be used to identify you or your child.

Speech Recognition

Rev & Read uses Apple's built-in Speech Recognition framework to help children practice reading aloud. Here's what you need to know:

  • On-Device Processing: All speech recognition happens directly on your device. Voice data is processed locally and never transmitted over the internet.
  • No Recording: We do not record, store, or save any audio. Speech is analyzed in real-time and immediately discarded.
  • Apple Privacy: The speech framework is provided by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Local Data Storage

Rev & Read stores your child's learning progress locally on your device:

  • Device-Only Storage: Progress data (completed lessons, earned stars) is stored using iOS UserDefaults, which keeps data only on your device.
  • No Cloud Sync: Progress is not synced to any cloud service or server. It exists only on the device where the app is installed.
  • No Personal Identifiers: Stored data contains only lesson completion status - nothing that could identify your child.

Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all data.

Since all progress data is stored locally on your device, removing the app will delete everything. There is no account to delete, no server-side data to request removal of, and no residual information left behind.

Third-Party Services

We do not use third-party services.

Rev & Read does not integrate with analytics platforms, advertising networks, social media SDKs, or any other third-party services that could collect data about you or your child.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever need to update this privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Our commitment to collecting zero data will not change.
